One Touch Ultra Mini Diabetes Meter

This blood glucose monitor is compact, so it may be the best glucose meter for patients that are always on the go and wish to have a discrete glucometer.  This monitor comes in six attractive colors.  It is available in lime green, pink, purple, black, blue and silver.  This glucometer is easy to use requiring only three steps!  The One Touch Ultra Mini system requires a smaller sample of blood and will produce your reading in only five seconds.  This product works with UltraSoft Lancets for less painful testing.  This glucometer has a large display that is easy to read and results are recorded as md/dl which is the common U.S. measurement.  It also has the capacity to store your abnormal and normal blood sugar levels.  This glucometer can be used to check readings using samples from your fingertips, palm and forearm.

One Touch Ultra 2 Blood Glucose Meter

This meter is a newer part of the One Touch family that gives readings in mg/dl (commonly used U.S. measurement).  It is larger than the Ultra Mini but has the ability to store before and after meal data to help you better understand how food choices affect your blood sugar.  In addition, this machine will store data so that you will have average blood sugar levels for 7, 14, and 30 days.  This machine can store up to 500 test results and has ability to download information to your computer using One Touch Diabetes Management Software (must be purchased separately).  This meter has a large, easy to read display with a backlight.  It also requires a small blood sample and uses the UltraSoft Lancets for less painful testing.

Features of the One Touch Ultra 2 blood glucose meter include:

  • Alternative Site Testing:  This meter can be used with samples collected from the finger tip, forearm or palm.
  • Unique Features:  The One Touch Ultra 2 allows users to flag readings with comments or meal type.

This blood glucose monitor provides readings in mmol/l, which is a common unit of measurement outside of the U.S or in mg/dl.  This system also uses simple 3-step testing methods and returns results in five seconds using a small blood sample.  This machine also allows for readings to be stored and downloaded onto your home computer using One Touch Diabetes Management Software.
